🍂Following the wonderful reception to our Summer Garden Tour, Sally and the team are looking forward to welcoming you for our Autumn Garden Tour on 26th September, the final tour of the year.

Enjoy a warming drink on arrival before a guided tour of The Hall’s beautiful gardens. Afterwards, tuck into a delicious seasonal lunch, created using produce harvested from the garden. Following lunch, the tour continues, with plenty of time to explore, ask questions and discover more about the gardens.

Garden Tours are £55 per person.

My gardening optimism took a bit of a battering today.☹️
We harvested 3 varieties of potatoes, but when the local wildlife continually dig them up, and the rain doesn’t rain, the result was disappointing.
It feels distinctly autumnal already, so unless we have the predicted 6th heatwave, these crops may not ripen.
BUT……….. we did pick some lovely pears, so look out for them.😊

The greatest characteristic a gardener has is optimism .😂
So today we are planting out cabbage, kohl rabi, turnip, swiss chard, spinach, beetroot, salad and 4 varieties of kale seedlings, that have been grown safely indoors at home, in what the experts and seed sellers call the second spring.
So here’s hoping in the next few months we have the RIGHT amount of water, the RIGHT temperature and amount of sun, and NO aphids, whitefly or flea beetles!!!!!!!
