Ian, Cath and families would like to welcome you to the The Olde Market Inn. We reopened the pub March 2024.

We are a family run and family friendly pub with dog friendly areas. Offering good pub food, sunday carvery and a market day lunch special.

Kitchen Vacancy.

We’re looking for a chef to help & learn in the kitchen alongside our own chef.

Duties would consist of everything from basic veg prep and in time learning & cooking dishes off our menus.
Some basic food hygiene knowledge would be beneficial but not essential as this could be achieved on site.

Hours are worked out on a weekly rota and would be a mix of weekdays & weekends due to the nature of the business, but also can be negotionable. Rates of pay are negotiable on experience.

We are a family run business with ‘family’ being the heart of our business.

We are back after a lovely week in the sunshine topping up the vitamin D and of course the tan. Ian is already busy prepping the kitchen for reopening and Cath is going through emails and messages.

Kitchen will reopen this evening at 6pm for our fish and chip special. Saturday we will be serving food again from 5:30pm and Sunday Carvery as normal on Sunday.

We would like to thank Becky and the team for keeping the bar running in our absence and to our families for stepping in where needed.

We’re raising money for this amazing charity that’s helped & still helping people living with this horrible illness.

On the 20th November we will doing our 12hr pool marathon with a hog roast available throughout the day. In the evening we will be holding a curry & quiz night which we aim to finish with the pool marathon also. There’ll be a draw with lots of goodies to be won in the evening and a raffle for our big prize in December.

All monies raised will be given to MacMillan to help with their continued support and work.

**SUNDAY CARVERY**

Times for this Sundays carvery are from 12pm until 6pm.

The meats for this Sunday (18th October) are our slow cooked beef brisket or roasted loin of pork with crackling with a selection of vegetables from our carvery unit along with roast potatoes, stuffing & Yorkshire puddings.

Choice of 2 desserts or Farmer Toms Ice cream pots.

Apple & blackberry crumble with custard.

Warm Pecan tart with vanilla ice cream & maple syrup.
