This years Holmfirth Food & Drink Festival will be on the 12th and 13th September 2026.

All stalls will be open from Saturday 12th September, 10am – 6pm (all stalls in the Towngate area are open until 8pm) and Sunday 13th September from 10am – 5pm.

If you’re looking for a Peak District walk to escape the crowds, this is the one for you. Starting from the car park near Langsett Reservoir, the walk heads through the woods before reaching the Langsett Moors, then following the Little Don River back to the start. This is a lovely 5 mile walk exploring some of the quieter parts of the Peak District, as well as the quirky Hordron Sheep Fort. This walk explores the rugged wilderness of the Dark Peak on the moors above Holmfirth, discovering the crash site of the B24-H Liberator “Sack Time” on Twizle Head Moss.
