Well the 31st of August 2024 is fast approaching and the inaugural Battle of the Bands at the iconic Floral Hall is set to be a truly amazing day/ evening of entertainment that will change the lives for one or more musicians.
And we NEED you, these bands are going to give their all and try to secure a chance which CAN make a difference to an emerging band, once again the current team at Hornsea Carnival are doing all they can creating new events for our town to help invigorate this amazing community we all live in.
To aid this endeavour, we have decided to make this event accessible to all, and as such the Event will be FREE TO ENTER for the public, yes you heard us correct its FREE, zippo, nadda , nothing bubkiss, so how will you make money I hear you ask, well we hope that those who attend, and maybe even those who are not will be generous with their donations, you all know how by now, you can do so online or on the day drop some money into one of the buckets we will have at Floral Hall.
Now as chairman I’m going to have to plug what our team have managed to put together, as you all know Hornsea Carnival is a non for profit organisation run by a team of volunteers. Yet due to how our team feel about our community, with sheer grit determination, hard work and love we are able to produce amazing events for our community to get behind.
As Chairman I cannot stress how proud I am of the whole team and our partners for been able to bring this event to Hornsea, and bring a prize which is so much more than just access to a recording studio, it is a prize which can change lives, if that doesn't give you a warm fuzzy feeling inside.. nothing will.
I hope as a community and a town we can all show our support and come and listen to the music and support these artists and Hornsea Carnival at the same time.
