Bunkroom situated in Horton In Ribblesdale, in the Yorkshire Dales. Great base to stay for Yorkshire Our 2 bunkrooms are capable of sleeping up to 56 people.

We are in a prime location in Horton In Ribblesdale, situated at the start and end of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks and on the Pennine Way. This is comprised of 4x 8 bed rooms with shared bathroom and kitchen facilities and 4x 6 bed rooms (en-suite) with a shared kitchen area. Our rooms are warm and comfortable, and bathrooms are modern with warm showers - perfect after a long walk. The kitchen facilities are ample with everything you need.

A little autumn spectacle close to 3 Peaks Bunkroom 🐟🍂

Stainforth Force is a lovely spot to watch salmon attempting to leap up the falls on their journey upstream.

I went along last weekend hoping to catch them in action… although unfortunately my camera skills weren’t quite up to the challenge! 😂📸 So this photo isn’t mine, but it shows what I was hoping to capture!

✨ It’s the little things that make a big difference! ✨

There’s always something happening behind the scenes here at 3 Peaks Bunkroom!

This week, we’ve had the professionals in to give our ovens a much-needed deep clean! 🧽✨

A big thank you to Shine&sparklecleaners for doing such a fantastic job. They’re looking as good as new!

We know that after a long day exploring the Yorkshire Dales, the last thing you want is to arrive somewhere that doesn’t feel clean, comfortable and welcoming.

That’s why we take pride in looking after our bunkrooms, from the big jobs right down to those little details you might not even notice.

Because it’s not just about providing somewhere to sleep. It’s about making sure you enjoy your stay with us. 🤍

And yes, we’re very excited about our sparkling ovens! 😂

Sunday well spent 🥾🌿

Today I headed up Pen-y-ghent today and enjoyed this beautiful view. Even when you live here, there’s always a reason to get out and enjoy it.

Fresh air, autumn sunshine and a little time to take it all in.

It’s been one of those weeks where the steam cleaner has been working overtime! 🧼💨😂

This week has been all about tackling those little jobs that often go unnoticed.

And when I say little jobs, I mean getting into every nook, cranny and corner I can find!

Something you might not know is that it’s just me, myself and I behind the 3 Peaks Bunkroom. 🙋‍♀️

From managing bookings and welcoming guests to cleaning, maintaining and making sure everything is ready for the next visitors, I do it all!

This week I’ve been getting the steam cleaner out and giving some of those hidden areas a really good deep clean. The places you probably wouldn’t even think to look!

Why? Because we care!

I want everyone who stays with us to have the best possible experience. Whether you’re here to tackle the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, explore the Dales or simply enjoy a few days away, the little details matter.

It’s not always the glamorous side of running a bunkroom, but it’s an important one!

Anyway, enough from me… I’ve got a steam cleaner calling my name! 😂💨

🌿 Little adventures in the Yorkshire Dales!

Did you know there’s so much more to explore around the 3 Peaks than just the mountains?

We love welcoming families to the 3 Peaks Bunkroom, and we’re often asked for recommendations of things to do with little ones during their stay.

One we’d definitely recommend is Clapham Nature Trail, leading up towards Ingleborough Cave.

But there’s a little extra magic along the way! ✨

For just £2 each, you can pick up an Mimpish Squimbles trail map and head off in search of the tiny houses hidden along the route. Each character has their own little poem to discover and share as you explore.
Such a lovely way to turn a family walk into an adventure, keeping little legs moving and imaginations busy! 🧚‍♂️

Whether you’re visiting for a weekend or planning a longer family break, there’s so much to see and do right on our doorstep.

More than just the 3 Peaks 💚

Many of our guests stay with us to walk the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, but there’s so much more to enjoy while you’re here.

We made the most of some time off and the gorgeous weather this weekend with an afternoon walk around Austwick and Wharfe. It was one of those afternoons that reminded us how lucky we are to call this area home.

Dry stone walls, beautiful views and time to stop and take it all in. Even when you live here, it’s lovely to get out and appreciate what’s around you.

If you’re planning a stay at 3 Peaks Bunkroom, leave a little time to explore beyond the peaks too. There’s plenty worth slowing down for. 🥾

Let’s be honest, learning to use a defibrillator isn’t something any of us want to imagine needing—but you never know when it could make all the difference.

This week, I attended training here in Horton-in-Ribblesdale. With a defibrillator now available in our village, I was keen to make sure someone here at 3 Peaks Bunkroom felt more confident using it if needed.

We welcome lots of people to stay and explore the area, and being a little more prepared feels important—for our guests and our local community 💚
