If you have visited the Isles of Scilly before, these beautiful islands will need no introduction, but if you have yet to venture across the sea from Penzance then you are in for a treat. The Isles of Scilly consist of hundreds of rocky outcrops and six larger islands. The six larger islands are as though someone has thrown a handful of jewels into the turquoise sea, each jewel made for each mood – wild Bryher, tranquil St Agnes, tropical Tresco, white-sanded St Martins, deserted Samson and busy (relatively!) St Mary’s. Each morning at the quay a fleet of pleasure boats waits to take you to the off-island of your choice. A holiday in the Scillies will take you back to the holidays of your childhood – no razzmatazz, theme parks or amusement arcades - just peace and quiet, rock pools, fishing , walking, picnics, cycling and swimming – all in breathtakingly beautiful surroundings. Winter and early spring on the Isles are synonymous with the growing of early daffodils and other spring flowers. The perfume of the Soleil d’Or daffodil, unique to the islands, fills the air from February to early March. Many different sea birds make the Scillies their breeding ground and during the autumn and spring migrating birds use the Isles as a welcome resting place – a haven for birds and birdwatchers alike. Sporting activities include safe bathing from a number of beautiful sandy beaches, wind surfing, sailing, sub-aqua diving and sea fishing. Other sporting amenities on the island such as golf, tennis, squash, and riding are also available. The most popular activity however is walking, which allows you to take in the stunning island scenery while absorbing the clean gentle Isles of Scilly air. Hugh Town is the hub of the islands and there are a number of restaurants, tea shops, and pubs. On all the islands there are workshops and galleries that exhibit the work of local artists and crafts by people who have made the Islands their home and inspiration. Booking Conditions
