Good News! The road between Hawes and Ribblehead has now reopened following roadworks, so DalesBus services 80, 830 and 858 will be running on the usual route to Ribblehead and Hawes again from this weekend.

We’ve been busy at the Station Inn! 🚂🛠️

Our full room refurbishment is well underway and we’re excited to share that already two of our new rooms are now finished. These have been thoughtfully refreshed to improve comfort and style while keeping the familiar character you know us for.

Watch the iconic steam trains fly past The Station Inn! 🚂

From 22nd May to 17th July, the Settle – Carlisle Railway comes alive with iconic steam trains and we’re perfectly placed to enjoy them. Also on 25th May is a special highlight celebrating the 150th anniversary, so it’s a day not to be missed!

If you weren't lucky enough to get a train ticket in the flash sale, don’t worry, you can still watch the steam trains roar past the famous Ribblehead viaduct from our beer garden, hear the whistle and feel the excitement up close.

If you're looking for a great day out this upcoming bank holiday Monday, the train is estimated to pass northbound around 9:20 AM and southbound around 8:15 PM, giving you two spectacular opportunities to catch the action.

Enjoy delicious food and drinks and make it a memorable day out, whether you’re solo, with friends, or the whole family. Rooms are also available if you want to make a weekend of it.

From all of us here at The Station Inn, Ribblehead, we’re proud to celebrate this incredible milestone! On May 1st, 1876, the first passenger train journeyed along the legendary Settle to Carlisle Line, crossing the stunning Ribblehead Viaduct for the very first time. 🌄

For 150 years, this line has connected people, places and histories, and it’s been an absolute privilege to be part of this iconic route. Whether you’ve traveled this beautiful 73 mile stretch or admired it from our doorstep, the beauty of the journey never fades. 🚞
