A mysterious "creature" moving against the current "like a very large eel" is how one of two new Nessie sightings were reported by onlookers.

We are so pleased to say that the red squirrel with the broken leg or hip is still visiting the garden and is looking well. He seems to be using the leg a little so it must have healed a bit.
We have named him Wonky because when he first came with his injury the leg was just dangling and he was not using it at all making him decidedly lop sided.🐾🐾❤️
We did ring the SSPCA to see if they could help but there was nothing they could do unless we could catch him, but he is surprisingly quick on 3 legs !

We have been out for the day with my visiting grandchildren and returned to 3 bags of dental sticks for Alvah but no note so we do not know who they are from ........................ please let us know so that we can thank you for them🐾🐾

We had some guests leave us some cheese cubes as they were due to fly home, so we put them out for the wildlife and the birds are loving unusual offering 😅🐦‍⬛🐦

We are so very lucky to have red squirrels in the garden.

So 4 days ago we first noticed that one of the young red squirrels had either fractured or dislocated its hip and was not using the left back leg, it was just hanging down. We rang the SSPCA who were unable to help unless we could catch it, but it was still too quick even on 3 legs 🤣
Then we did not see it for 2 days and thought that nature must have taken it's course 😢
But then this morning we have seen it again and whilst the leg is certainly not right and the foot and toes are curled in a little, it was using it a little bit which is fab 😄🐾
Now we just have to hope it can continue to recover the use a little bit more although it will be at a big disadvantage ❤️

An acrobatic red squirrel fancied an almond this morning as a treat 😀🐾

So today a baby red squirrel claimed one of the peanut feeders as his own by going inside it to feast .........
