Well, with a king and queen pushing, Jean did marry Simon, and he was so besotted he built several homes for her, wherever she wanted. And in her favourite home, Bunchrew House, was placed their marriage stone, dated 1621! At the top are his initials along with the three crowns and three strawberry flowers or fraises (an heraldic pun on their name of Fraser). And below you have Jean's initials with "charges" including lions rampant and the fesse chequy of the Stewarts. And you can see this remarkable marriage stone yourself whenever you have tea at the Bunchrew House Hotel!
