🍞It's World Bread Day!

The staff of life they say. We make ours fresh every day. Whether it's for your breakfast toast and marmalade, a Welsh Rarebit at lunch or the dinner roll beside your starter. They're all made from scratch, by hand, by us.

It's World Porridge Day!

We love our porridge; a warm, comforting start to fuel any lakeland adventure. We even turn humble oats into transportable 'porridge' that is the mighty flapjack.
Some like syrup (maple or golden), some prefers berries, others sugar or honey.
What do you top yours with?

It's international coffee day!

We use Carvetii's Lakes blend which is created especially with lakeland water in mind.
Roasted at the foot of the mighty Blencathra from carefully selected beans, to give rich brown sugar, dark chocolate, nut and dried fruit aromas.

☕Have a cup yourself - Cheers!

From our bread rolls to our handmade pastry in savoury tarts and sweeter treats. We make everything from scratch.

Moving into the autumn, you'll start to see us using more root vegetables, more apples, pears and brambles and more game meats. Comforting, familiar flavours that delight the senses and warm the soul. Our landscape produces some amazing produce and we make use of it at its peak. It helps with the stewardship of the land, reduces food miles and gives us our farm to fork relationships.

Dine with us this autumn.
