⭐ A lovely 5-star review!

“Such a welcoming, cosy cottage with all the home comforts.”

We love hearing that our guests have enjoyed their stay, made memories with family and friends, and even brought their four-legged friends along! 🐾

Thank you for choosing Appleby 24, Kendal. 🏡

And more....

There’s no putting a waterfall on pause. You just have to stand there and watch. 🌊

Skelwith Force, doing its thing in the heart of the Lakes. Well worth the visit

Turn the sound on for this one. 🤍

Simple moments.....

The quiet of the mountains, the light, and a lone sheep watching the world go by 🤍

Welcoming guests from around the world is one of the things we love most about hosting.
This lovely group travelled all the way from the USA to explore the Lake District, and we're so grateful they chose our cottage as their home away from home.
Reading that they enjoyed the cosy space, the little handmade touches, and the beautiful surroundings makes all the effort worthwhile.
Thank you for your kind words and for being such wonderful guests. We hope your memories of Cumbria stay with you for years to come.
Have you ever travelled somewhere that felt like a home away from home?

Some walks aren't about reaching the summit.

They're about slowing down, breathing a little deeper, and remembering how good it feels to be surrounded by nature.

One of the many reasons we love escaping to Cumbria. 💚

Where's your favourite walk in the Lake District?

This weekend was a gentle reminder of why we fell in love with Cumbria in the first place.

A few days away from London, some beautiful walks, and plenty of time to slow down.

We never take for granted how fortunate we are to have a place to escape to – and being able to share that experience with our guests makes it even more special. 💚

It's always rewarding to hear that the little details are noticed—from local treats to the dog welcome basket. Thank you for this wonderful 5⭐ review. 💛

There’s something special about driving through the Langdales and being able to stop for moments like this. 🐑💚

No big plans, no long walk — just Herdwicks, the sound of the stream, and the scenery that makes the Lake District feel so unique.

Sometimes, the best parts of the Lakes are the unexpected roadside stops.

We have two sunny little corners to slow down and enjoy at Appleby 24 ☀️

Morning coffee by the stone wall or an evening drink on the patio — the perfect spots to unwind after a day in the Lakes. 🍃🏡
