Huge shoutout to our owner, Lucy who is always levelling up! 🎂✨

Whether it's leadership skills or creative passions, Lucy is obsessed with continuous growth. Her latest achievement? Absolutely mastering the art of buttercream piping under the guidance of the fabulous Hilary Hurst 🧁

Check out these flawless swirls!! We love having a leader who inspires us to keep learning and perfecting new skills every day.

What new skill are you working on mastering this week? 👇

✨ The breakfast dish our guests can’t stop talking about: Coddled Eggs! ✨

If you haven’t tried one of our coddled egg specials yet, you are missing out on the ultimate morning luxury.

The reason our guests are loving this classic dish are:

🥚Perfect texture - cloud-like texture while the yolk stays perfectly warm, rich, and runny 😋

🍞Made for Dipping - made for plunging buttered toast soldiers straight in 😋

🦴Nutrient Rich - vitamins and healthy fats in the yolk are better than high-heat frying

Treat yourself to something special for breakfast this week.

You deserve it! 🍳🥖 😋🍂

🥣🍌 Would this be your kind of breakfast?

Lucy, owner of The Edwardene, loves experimenting with new and adventurous breakfast recipes. Her latest idea is a bowl of warming spiced porridge topped with sweet caramelised bananas—perfect for a cosy start to the day.

Porridge is a wholesome and satisfying breakfast, bananas provide fibre and potassium, and ginger reduces inflammation. Add those comforting spices and caramelised flavours, and this could be a delicious new addition to our breakfast menu.

Would you try it on your next stay? Let us know in the comments! ✨

Our owner Lucy ate out a couple of weeks ago at Derwent Walker Café Bar and Restaurant and she was not disappointed! Lucy had the Lamb Canon followed by the Berry Crumble - both dishes were absolutely delicious!

We’re proud to celebrate local restaurants that bring great food, warm hospitality and community spirit to our area.

We recommend you give them a try!
