Come for a day or enjoy a break in cozy chalets or family rooms. Enjoy stunning views and a bite to eat at our onsite Boathouse Restaurant. Our accommodation comprises of 13 self-catering log chalets (which sleep from 2-8), 2 apartments (sleeps 5) and extensive B&B accommodation in our main lodge at Insh Hall. Voted Scottish Outdoor Centre of the year 2022 and Tripadvisers Travellers choice award

We have many activities available on site including skiing and snowboarding and Tubing on the dry ski slope;
Skating on our artificial Ice Rink (Glice Rink Nov-Mar) archery; and walking trails. Water enthusiasts can enjoy (with or without instruction): Stand up paddle boarding, Kayaking, Windsurfing, Sailing and Canadian canoeing. We also offer Raft Building & Team Building courses, River Trips. There are two adventure play parks for children and a lovely picturesque beach for picnics and barbeques or you can relax and eat in The Boat House Restaurant and The Quarter Deck Bar and sit back and admire the views! Looking for something fun to keep the kids active during the summer holidays?
We’re running our Multisport Days every week at Loch Insh Outdoor Centre. 🌲
It's a great chance for them to get outdoors, try something new, and meet other kids.

🗓️ When: Every week throughout the summer holidays

⏰ Time: 9:30 am – 4:00 pm (with a supervised lunch break)

They'll get to try a bit of everything, including:
Canoeing & Kayaking 🛶
Sailing & Windsurfing ⛵
Jungle Floats 💦
...and plenty of other outdoor activities.

What a week! 🙌
Huge shoutout to the amazing pupils from Cairnshill, Portsoy, and Holm who’ve been with us for their primary residentials.
They’ve absolutely smashed every challenge we threw at them, pushed themselves out of their comfort zones, and kept us laughing the whole time.
Safe travels home, everyone, have a well-deserved rest this weekend! 🚌🌲✨

🚨Safety doesn’t have to look boring.
These are our new Oshea Surf rescue paddleboards.
They handle beautifully and give the team complete peace of mind when we have busy groups out on the loch. 👌

You'll see us paddling them around the Jungle Float, providing safety cover for our summer events, and keeping an eye on everyday sessions.
