Welcome to Church Houses!
Church Houses is a tiny hamlet located in Upper Farndale, and it’s where you’ll find seven of our holiday cottages.
🏡 The Coach House is a romantic retreat for two, while The Stables, East Steading, West Steading and The Cottage all sleep four, each with the option of the second bedroom made up as a twin. West View is perfect for families, sleeping six (two double bedrooms and one twin), and for larger groups The Old Vicarage accommodates up to 12 and boasts a picture-perfect garden, which even has a stream running through it.
🍺 Church Houses is also home to The Feversham Arms, a traditional country inn with a fantastic south-facing beer garden that offers fabulous views across the dale, while inside you’ll find open log fires to cosy up to on chillier days.
🥾 The renowned ‘daffodil walk’ starts just down the road – which is where you’ll also find ‘The Daffy Caffy’, a great stop off for refreshments. This enchanting walk alongside the River Dove is wonderful in all seasons (not just when the daffodils are on show!), and takes you to Low Mill, home to Farndale Store and the rest of our luxury holiday cottages.
