I get asked quite a lot what we love most about Street Head… and honestly, it’s hard to pick just one thing.

There’s the obvious stuff...the views, the fresh air, the peace, the sunsets, the way the Dales seem to look different every single day.
Even after all this time, I still stop and think, how lucky are we to have this on our doorstep?

But it’s more than that too.

It’s the people who come back year after year.
It’s seeing guests arrive tired from normal life and leave looking that little bit lighter.
It’s the walkers setting off with their boots on, the families making memories, the quiet mornings, the friendly waves, and the little chats that happen around the park.

Street Head has such a special feel to it. It’s not flashy or overcomplicated, it’s just a proper, peaceful Dales spot, with beautiful countryside around us and a lovely community nearby.

We feel really lucky to call it home, and even luckier that we get to share it with everyone who stays here. 💚

One of the things we love most about living and working up here is the community around us and we couldn’t start this little “local spotlight” series anywhere else but The Street Head Inn

A lot of you will know this already, but the Inn used to be part of the site years ago. These days it’s a beautiful, totally separate place in its own right… and we’re genuinely so glad it’s right on our doorstep.

It’s got that proper Yorkshire Dales charm, oak beams, a roaring fire, real ales, and a warm welcome, the sort of place you walk into and instantly feel like you can relax.

They’re also big on good food (including local produce) and if you love a proper roast…their Sunday carvery is a favourite for a reason.
