🌞Not every summer stay needs rooftop bars and busy resorts....sometimes its really about peace, space and having some room to relax 🌿🍀

Here at Ballymultimber Cottages its all about :

🌳 Quiet mornings in the gardens. Coffee in hand and not a sound except the countryside.

🐶 Big, safe gardens where kids and dogs can play til their hearts are content xx

🌄 Fresh air and that peaceful " we dont need to be anywhere" feeling 😍

🌊🌊 Being close to everything the amazing Atlantic has to offer

🙄 Lately I’ve been considering what it really means to care for a traditional thatched house like this. It’s never been about profit for us — it’s about preservation.

We do our best to offer guests a warm, peaceful sanctuary at a fair and accessible nightly rate, while quietly carrying the rising costs that come with protecting a rare piece of our heritage 🍃🌿

There are very few truely special thatched houses left in the north. I feel incredibly fortunate to own one, even though the responsibility is significant 🤯🤯

Annual insurance runs into four figures, (this year's doubled and I could take my family on holiday for a week for the amount it cost!!) It’s so easy to see why so many are lost — thatch replaced with tin not by choice, but by pressure. 😞😭

This place remains standing because we believe it matters ☘️🦋
