Just off Steep Hill - a favourite self-catering home for visitors wanting an unbeatable central location with the privacy and comfort of an entire well-equipped house. Nestled between Lincoln's iconic Cathedral and Castle, No 2 Wordsworth St is moments away from the world famous Bailgate and award winning Steep Hill. It's charming cobbled frontage is just a few steps from the area's most delightfu

l independent shops, bars, cafes, galleries and restaurants. The house has three bedrooms, all equipped with Egyptian cotton linens and towels, sleeping a maximum of six people. The master bedroom has a king size bed and window overlooking the cobbled streets of Wordsworth St and Steep Hill. The second bedroom with double bed has lovely views of the Cathedral towers. A third bedroom has a single day bed and pull out single - allowing two people to share this pretty first floor room with patio doors leading onto the private walled terrace. There is a fully equipped kitchen with complementary pantry of condiments, teas and coffee and a large fridge freezer with constant ice maker. There is an elegant dining room and bright first floor lounge with fireplace, comfy sofa and flat screen TV/DVD player. Visitor parking permits allow guests to park in any of the nearby resident parking spaces in central Uphill Lincoln. IMPORTANT EXCLUSION: we are unable to accept hen/stag or other potentially rowdy parties due to the close proximity of neighbours and ask that there is no noise/loud music at the house after 10pm.

"Having stayed in many Airbnbs over the years, this has to be one of the highlights. The accommodation was beautiful, the photos don’t it justice, it really is something else. There was everything that you needed within the accommodation, and more. The location was brilliant. Literally a minutes walk and you are on Steep Hill, with restaurants, shops, cafes and more. The beds …. Best sleep I have had in years. I will be back. Thank you."

A little peek inside Lincoln Cathedral last night and the Dean’s black tie dinner 🥰. Candlelit nave, elegant tables, stained glass, piano music and guest of honour, Rev Richard Coles (writer, broadcaster, priest, performer) 🧑‍🎤🎼.

Mr Darcy looking forward to staying in Lincoln this week 🐾. This very lucky hound has built a little local fan club over the eleven years he's been visiting Wordsworth Street. Friendly shop owners on Steep Hill (Yo Bougie and Bijou and Heritage country!), pubs with dog snacks on the bar (amazingly most pubs in Bailgate and Uphill Lincoln do this 🥰) and even restaurants and cafes all over the city (Thank you Stokes for always being so welcoming ❤). Few places come even close to being so Dog Friendly. Thank you Lincoln. We love you 🐶.

A big birthday shout out to our lovely neighbour, Ice Dreaming on Bailgate 🎂🎉🎀. How lucky are we to have this amazing ice cream parlour around the corner? 🥰 (very). Get in there quick to sample their celebratory Birthday Cake variety as a little bird 🐦told me it's in limited supply ...

Searching the best beer gardens in Lincoln and the Royal William IV is up there, with its views over the Brayford Pool. This chap agrees 🥰 (although not sure he's entirely focussed on pints!...🐟).

More outside spaces, with drinks on tap, can be found in Bailgate and Uphill Lincoln at other historic taverns like The Magna Carta Lincoln, The Lion and Snake, The Duke William and Prince of Wales....all around the corner from the house at the top of Steep Hill (no wings required) 💯 .

Honestly - is there anywhere else that can deliver this kind of history around every corner? I am constantly amazed by Lincoln Thank you Events in Lincoln for this brilliant reel ❤ (Go Lincoln's Historic Guildhall!) and for hosting the city's Festival of History 2-4th May. Wonderful. 🥰
