Pale, pasty and scared of the big ball in the sky like our Lucy? 🥵🌞

With the heatwave showing no signs of letting up, our big funky marquee is currently serving as a cool, shaded sanctuary for anyone that will be physically decimated by a bit of sunshine. Grab a bite or pony under the bad boy and watch everybody else soak up the evil rays. 💀☀️

We’d generally recommend leaving your four-legged friends at home during the hottest parts of the day and bringing them out later in the evening when things have cooled down a bit.

That said, if they do join you, we’ve got plenty of water bowls and an outside tap to get the doggo’s hydrated!

Stay cool, drink plenty of water, and get that factor 50 on! 🥰❤️

Okay okay very important announcement!!!

Its the official 2026 British Summer for the next three days!! Do not miss out on the summer this year, pop up over the next few days and get your fill!!….its over by weekend 😆

Its got Lunch menu & 3 small plates with a spritz or ice latte vibes all over it!!

Food served a little later 12pm - 9pm (8-9 will be the kebabs & burger offer only) today so you can grab some food for the England Ghana game which will be on in the restaurant after food service.

Fancy a clear out & looking to sell? Vinted just isn’t hitting the same?

Join us on Saturday 11th July, 9am–1pm for the first Pre Loved at The Pub in our beer garden.

Tables are £8 if you’d like to sell! Pop us a message if you would like a table, with all proceeds being donated to our charity for the year.

Expect rails of pre-loved clothes, books, homeware, toys and plenty of hidden gems - all priced at £10 or less.

We’ll have coffee brewing, breakfast on the go and hopefully a bit of sunshine too.☀️😊☕️x

THURSDAY - 1pm our community cabaret lunch club is back, with Martin’s quiz in the evening at 8:30pm

SATURDAY - 5pm-11pm Bombay Brew - Indian Street Food & Craft Ale is back with the fabulous Em & Tom singing us right into the England match at 10pm🙌

Happy Fathers Day Boro 🖤

▪️The restaurant & terrace are fully booked.

▪️Garden & Decking

There will be availability on the deck and in the garden however we are not taking bookings in these areas it’s walk-ins only.

Simply grab a table in the garden and menu from the menu holders outside, remember your table number and order at the bar, collect your condiments and cutlery on the way out.

If you have managed to get a table booked in head to the restaurant area and Emma or Lucy will sit you down, don’t worry its still full table service in the restaurant and terrace.

Please be advised those in the garden and deck that waits on food could occur as we are expecting over 500 people today and bookings take priority. Don’t worry though we will get to you and its bloody lovely outside, just enjoy the best views about!

Please be patient with our wonderful hard working staff and be respectful to our neighbors when parking as its at a premium.

…..and please enter you car registration on the portal on entry, its free for customers.

We’ve got our last few tables remaining, with limited availability left at breakfast and two tables at 7:15pm free.

If you’d rather make the most of the weather, we’ll also be serving food outside all day. Please note that outdoor tables are available on a first come, first served basis and cannot be reserved, however there’s plenty to go at!

THIS TIME TOMORROW… ⚽️

We’ll be getting ready for England’s World Cup opener against Croatia!

Yes, yes… we don’t show sport. Yes yes its all about the food up the hill…..In fact, we didn’t even have a TV… so we went out and bought a 75-incher just for the occasion!

It’s the World Cup though, and with the games kicking off after restaurant service we thought why not!!….plus the Moorcock being a big old place, we can have our cake and eat it so if you’re booked in for food and dont want anything to do with the world cup we have areas away from it all!

Those that do want to get involved get yourselves up here, grab some food before kick-off, settle in with a pint, and cheer the lads on to victory!

WHAT A WEEK!🪩❤️🌶️🎸🎤

We sponsored the Littleborough Food & Drink Festival , sold out of beer from the truck, opened the outside bar for the first time this year, had Boomin in the beer garden, welcomed the Bombay Brew - Indian Street Food & Craft Ale kebab van and that's just been the last couple of days!!

A huge thank you to everyone who's visited us, whether it was at the festival or here at the pub.

A very special shout out to our prep chef Paul, who joined Simon Wood on stage for a live cooking demonstration at the festival and absolutely smashed it!

And of course, a massive thank you to our team. It's been non-stop and they've truly grafted. We know we say it a lot, but we're very lucky to have them🫶

As if that's not enough, it's also British Beer Day today. We're celebrating with buy one Hawkstone Lager and get the second half price all day. Perfect excuse to give Jeremy Clarkson's lager a try if you haven't already.

Here's to another busy week up the hill🥰
