Oak Lodge is finished, the guests arrived just as i was finishing some balustrade. 10 years 500000 pounds and many 7 day weeks. I am exhausted. More pictures to follow, didn't have time ho take them today

This is bathroom 1 and bedroom 1 in oak Lodge. Our first guests arriving Monday. Please note there is alot more fixed equipment in oak Lodge. Bedroom 2 and bathroom 2 have a shower trolley, with a shower curtain, 3.5 foot profiling bed with airflow flow mattress, hoists available also. Another milestone reached today, the furniture is nearly all in, the kitchen and utility room are having all the plates, cutlery and crockery etc etc. All the pots and pans are in. The electrician returns tomorrow to fut the smoke detectors. We will even be making the beds. The 2 profiling beds will be made up as well. The lodge is nearly ready for it's first guests.

A general post to everyone, please if you are booking any holiday even in the UK, take out travel insurance especially including cancellation insurance, it's extremely cheap 20 to 30 pounds. We have had 5 cancellations inbthe last month due to medical problems. As a small business we can't afford to return deposits or even move the dates generally especially with only days or a couple of weeks notice. We would of course fully refund any monies paid if we have to cancel on guests because of a fire, or other situation beyond our control but it's important guests do get insurance, thanks for reading cheers Richard

Ten years of solid work buts it's nearly finished, oak Lodge is almost there. We are both exhausted , it's been a really exciting journey butchered have built a legacy. It's awesome that people with disabilities will have fully accessible accommodation available for holidays and it doesn't look like a hospital, thanks for everyone that's been following us, cheers Richard midwaleslodges.co.uk
