We didn't do any videos last night, so we're sharing this excellent one (hope the creator doesn't mind). As always, a fantastic night enjoyed by thousands. The town was packed all day yesterday, through into the night. Brilliant to see at any time of year. So a HUGE THANK YOU to Llandudno Pier and Llandudno town council for putting on yet another incredible display 🙏👏🙏

This place is so worth a visit next time you're visiting our beautiful town of Llandudno.

🤔 Did you know… during the Bronze Age, the mines of the Great Orme may have produced between 232 and 830 tonnes of copper metal, mined from these tunnels, some of which our visitors walk today!

📜 Research estimates that, if most of this copper was extracted during the mine’s boom period of between 1600 and 1400 BC, production could have been equivalent to around 2,600–9,200 palstaves (Bronze Age axe heads) per year! 🤯

Thousands of years ago, Great Orme was at the heart of a remarkable Bronze Age metalworking industry.

📕 More of this fascinating research can be found in ‘Boom and Bust in Bronze Age Britain’ by Dr. R. Alan Williams, available to purchase from our shop.

The calm before the storm??? 😄🌤️
Llandudno this evening:
Dry, mild, not a breath of wind and looking suspiciously lovely.
Meanwhile, the weather forecast is shouting “STORM!” at us. 😂
We’re quietly optimistic it’s going to take one look at North Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿, change its mind and go bother someone darn sarf.
For now, all is very calm at The Rosedene… almost too calm. 👀
