Join Roots Forest School and the wonderful on the 13th April for our family forage and wreath making. We are really excited to do our first Spring session, after the success of our Christmas sessions together, we will forge for materials and make spring wreaths, there will be children’s crafts and forest school. Come and join us in the woods!

“A huge thanks to everyone at Carreglwyd for helping us make our perfect day a reality! We had always dreamt of having a beautiful wedding in the woods and the setting was idyllic for this.

What we loved about Carreglwyd was the fact that they give you access to the entire site and there is no set wedding so no wedding is the same. When we had an idea, they helped us bring them to life. This allowed us to let our imaginations run wild and plan a totally unique wedding. The team were great and were always on hand to answer questions and help us plan the day. We were able to set up glamping pods on the grounds and other guests could bring their own camper vans and tents.

We can’t believe how lucky we were to find Carreglwyd and we’ll remember our magical day for years to come.“

A big congratulations to Rhyd y Llan on the opening of their forest school! Bob and Duncan have turned a space, previously not usable by children into a forest school, clearing land, building structures, putting in accessibale pathways, and planting hundreds of trees (with the help of volunteers). The funding allowed workbooks to be developed with the help of Wildelements as an open resource for outdoor education. We loved giving 120 children their first experience of their own forest school. The sense of pride that it was there’s forever to watch grow! 🍁

The Tiny Teaching Forest initiative provides both, and due to direct roadside access is available to book by any community group or regional school. The impact of Nature Deficit Disorder is rapidly being recognised as a developmental issue among children, even those in rural communities. This project addresses this through using the natural world as a classroom in which all subjects can be taught.

We are so utterly heartbroken by the news of Danielle Moore’s passing. It is impossible to put into words quite how special a person she was. A superstar onstage and one of the kindest, funniest and warmest people we have had the joy and privilege of spending time with.

We had the honour of hosting Crazy P as they recorded one of their albums at Carreglwyd. This clip was taken after dinner one evening, where the band played an impromptu little set… with Dani’s voice filling the room, and cutlery as percussion.
A cherished memory we will hold even more closely to our hearts.

Dani was a radiant presence and will forever remain one in our lives. Beyond her gifts in performing she was a ray of light. She had time for everyone, and an extraordinary ability of making people feel seen. Her loss is devastating. We can’t imagine the pain those close to her are feeling and send our deepest condolences and all of our love.

Rest in peace. You will be so missed.

Thursday at Seren y Môr! 🌿

Join us for a day full of fun and good food…

🌳Forest School: 10 am - 12:00 pm in the woodland. Bring your little ones for an engaging morning of nature-based activities. Tomorrow we will be making flags or wall hangings, nature wands, crowns and super hero masks, as well as magical potion making in the mud kitchen. Perfect for kids to learn and explore in the great outdoors 🌱

🍕Flour and Flame: 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm. Treat yourself to some delicious pizza from the Flour and Flame crew. Don’t miss out ☺️
