😂❤️ THINGS I’LL MISS… AND THINGS I WON’T MISS!
After all these years of running Sunbank Accommodation, I think I’ve earned the right to make this list! 🤣
As we get closer to handing over the keys, I’ve been thinking about what I’ll miss… and what I absolutely will NOT miss!
❤️ THINGS I’LL MISS
🌿 Living here. Our big kitchen, the old beams. This has been our home and my daughters’ home, and we’ve made some very special memories here over the years. And although I’m happy to leave and excited for what’s next, I know I’ll still grieve it. You can be ready for a change and still feel sad about leaving somewhere that’s been such a big part of your life.
🎄Christmas Here…..magical…
🐦 The wildlife, especially the birds, squirrels and the ponies that live in the field in front of us. The views and all those little things that make living here so special…
🏡 Meeting people from all over the world and welcoming them to Sunbank. The lovely, unexpected long chats and connections ♥️
🔥 My huge Log burner! 🥹
💬 The lovely messages and reviews from guests who’ve had a brilliant stay.
📸 Sharing photos of our little corner of Llangollen with you all.
❤️ The memories made over 16 years, the friendships, the laughs and all the lovely people we’ve met along the way.
🐾 All those everyday moments here that I’ve probably taken for granted.
😂 THINGS I WON’T MISS
🕰️ Everything revolving around school run, check in and check out times….😅
🤫 Telling the girls to Shhhhhhhhhhhutup, because we’ve got guests in, they’re really noisy teens!
🧺 THE LAUNDRY. Enough said.
🕷️ The Spiders 😒
🛏️ Making beds. And then making them again. And again. The changeovers have worn a bit thin after all these years! 😂
🚪 Living in an open-plan, upside down space. I’ve never really got on with it, so I’m VERY much looking forward to having more rooms and doors I can actually close!
🧹 Cleaning, tidying and getting everything perfect, only for it all to need doing again. (This photo pretty much sums it up! 🤣)
📱 Being permanently attached to my phone, answering messages and checking bookings at all hours.
😅 Never really switching off because there’s always something that needs doing or someone knocking on the door! Sushi barking at every single person or animal that arrives……
But here’s the thing… we’re not moving away. We’re just moving down the road, so I’ll still be enjoying Llangollen and all the things I love about living here. 🌿
It’s almost time, I think I’m allowed to hang up the bed-making gloves and have a little change!
