Big fan of a Sunday like this…

September in Llangollen might just be our favourite time of year

The summer crowds start to disappear, the first hints of autumn arrive in the Dee Valley and it’s still light enough to squeeze a proper adventure into the day before heading somewhere cosy for the evening.

Pull on your walking boots and wander up to Castell Dinas Brân for those incredible views over Llangollen, stroll along the canal to the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, follow the river out towards Horseshoe Falls or head a little further into the Clwydian Range for a big day in the hills.

Then back to The Wild Pheasant Hotel & Spa for the important bit… a proper Sunday roast, a drink in the bar and absolutely no need to drive home afterwards…
