Come and kick back in our beautifully converted barn set amidst idyllic unspoilt Welsh farmland. The former hay barn has been lovingly restored with sheep wool insulation, underfloor heating, traditional lime plaster, a living roof and nesting boxes for barn owls and swallows. ke a walk down the footpath to explore the woodland meadows or play pooh sticks in the babbling brooks. Continue into the friendly village of Llansadwrn where you'll find a warm welcome at the local pub the Sexton Arms. At Llwynbwch we've spotted Red kites, badgers, otter prints and spraints, deer and a kingfisher, bats and owls. Our night skies are perfect for star spotting as we're on the edge of Wales' first Dark Sky Reserve. Breathe deep and fill up on a little bit of welsh heaven.

Reading the Wild /Darllen y Gwyllt Literature Festival

Reading the Wild returns to nearby Llandovery, bringing together leading writers, illustrators and environmental thinkers for a full weekend of conversation, creativity and connection to the natural world.

We have space to stay in either Llwynbwch Barn or Onnen shepherds hut at Under Starry Skies and are offering a 10% discount to guests who have bought their tickets for Reading the Wild. Why not make a weekend of it!

Explore Llandovery town with its independent shops, cafes and friendly pubs, take in some talks then return to your cosy accommodation at Under Starry Skies for some quiet time in nature, local walks and maybe a campfire under the stars.
