Clachtoll Beach Campsite Family run touring caravan & camping site in the North West of Scotland. The campsite covers an area of approximately 2.5 acres and is entirely grass.

Clachtoll Beach Campsite is a quiet family run touring caravan and camping site in Sutherland, in the North West of Scotland, 5 miles North of the village of Lochinver. Pitches are either grass or AstroTurf and are free draining. All our serviced pitches have water and electric hook-ups at the pitch + to avoid disappointment we advise to book well in advance for our busy times. Toilet and shower facilities, hairdryers, GHD tongs, disabled toilet, dishwashing sinks, undercover cooking and seating area. Nightly firepit. Free use of kettles and microwaves, laundry and tumble dryers (fee) chemical disposal point, plastic and bottle recycling, dog bar, free doggie treats and poo bags, dogs are welcome provided they are kept on a lead at all times on the campsite. Small shop on site selling rolls, local butchers sausage,.bacon and burgers, fresh fish, daily hime made cakes, juice, ice cream, sweet treats and bits and bobs. 24/7 coffee machine selling only Lavazza products and Galaxy hot chocolate. Honesty frodge stocked with a variety of goodies! Fire pits for hire for use on the beach. This area is renowned for its outstanding natural beauty and spectacular land and seascapes

Lochinver provides a good range of services and facilities and is the nearest place for petrol/diesel and food provisions. There is also a bank, post office, newsagent, hardware supplies, tourist information centre and various other shops, pubs and restaurants. Clachtoll Beach Campsite and the surrounding area offers something for everyone, whether you want an action packed day or a leisurely day, reading a book or relaxing on the beach.

Now we know that FB has been inundated with pictures of last nights aurora so we thought it only fair that we jump right on in there as well seeing as some of our lovely guests took these pics last night and sent them to us.

It was a real treat to witness some of the light show last after what had been a pretty awful day weather wise. It really does bring it home to you what a stunning part of the world we live in. We are truly humbled even though I still don't fully understand how it happens and that's after going to see Brian Cox during the week at his show where we left even more confused about all things planetary!

Weather actualy looks really good for the latter part of next week and we are open until 24th October and all bookings can be done online at the website. We are now full for New Year and bookings for 2027 and 2028 are open now.

Happy Sunday everyone

Not posted for a little while as we have been enjoying our busiest season ever welcoming all our lovely guests. Weather wise it has been a challenging year as we have not yet enjoyed the temperatures that the rest of the country have enjoyed but that hasn't stopped each and every one of you from making the most of your time here. Our "Sitooterie " which is a completely enclosed covered area has been a real hit with its woodburning stove and cooking area and we have had many a great night there with everyone and lots of impromptu music nights too.

We are also really grateful to have taken the leap and collaborated with our great friends at theloyly.co as the wood fired sauna has been a real treat this year. We bring exciting news on that front and are really pleased to announce that it is here for the 2027 season as well!

No matter the weather here we hope we have got everything covered (if you pardon the pun) to be able to give everyone a great time.


We are still open until the 24th October and close until the 28th December when we open again for out New Year celebrations. (Only 4 pitches free now for then

October is a greatt month in Assynt to be chasing rainbows, clear skies and auroras so you might be lucky if you do manage to visit us.
