From the classroom to the pitch. 🏟️

Our students got to explore one of London’s most iconic stadiums — the home of Arsenal FC. Walking through the players’ tunnel, standing on the edge of the pitch, seeing the trophies up close... this is what learning English in London really looks like.

Every trip we take is a chance to build confidence, spark conversations, and make memories that go way beyond any textbook.

London is the classroom. 🇬🇧

British food has a reputation. But London's food scene will genuinely surprise your child. 🇬🇧🍽️

Here's what they'll actually encounter — and what it all means:

🥔 Jacket potato
A baked potato with fillings. Cheese, beans, tuna. A British lunch staple.

🥧 Pasty
A pastry filled with meat and vegetables. Originally from Cornwall. Eaten by hand, no cutlery needed.

🍵 A proper cuppa
A cup of tea. Milk goes in after (or before — this is a genuine debate). Offered constantly.

🍮 Pudding
Does not mean pudding. Means dessert. Any dessert. "What's for pudding?" = What's for dessert?

🍟 Chips vs crisps
Chips = thick-cut fries. Crisps = what Americans call chips. Do not mix these up.

🫘 Beans on toast
Exactly what it sounds like. Beloved. Non-negotiable part of British food culture.

🥐 A cheeky Greggs
Greggs is a bakery chain. Getting a sausage roll from Greggs is a rite of passage in London.

At SKOLA, students explore London's food culture as part of their immersion experience.

Because the best way to learn English... is to live it. 🇬🇧

Your textbook lied to you 😅🇬🇧

Real British English sounds nothing like what most students learn in class. Save this — you'll need it.

At SKOLA, students practise the English people actually speak. In the classroom AND across London.

Forget the textbook. These are the phrases that actually matter 🇬🇧✨

Save this before your trip to London — and practise them out loud.

At SKOLA, students use real English every day. In class, on the Tube, at markets, and everywhere in between.
