On Friday 2nd October, Fil returns to The Clarendon for a night built around smooth vocals, big stage presence and soulful versions of the songs people actually want to hear on a Friday night.

Expect classic soul, contemporary hits and the kind of performance that draws the room in from the first song. Fil has a way of making the evening feel polished and full of momentum, with vocals that carry, and a set made for people who came out to enjoy themselves properly.

Guests are seated from 7pm for a three-course dinner, with the main event beginning towards the end of dinner service. The hotel bar will also be open early for pre-dinner drinks, so you can arrive, meet your friends, order something cold and begin the evening before the show begins.

This is a party night, so smart casual is the dress code and dancing shoes are very much encouraged.

Blackheath is a rather good place for a break with four-legged company.

Start with a proper leg-stretch across the heath, stop at the Hare & Billet for something to eat or drink, then wander into the village. If there’s still energy in those paws, Greenwich Park gives you plenty more ground to cover.

And after all that exploring, you can head back to The Clarendon together.
