OUR EDIT OF THE CHICEST SPOTS TO WORKOUT POST-SUMMER…

NIHI Sumba | Edge of Wildness™ - for a post-summer reset that feels anything but routine, NIHI Sumba’s new Riding & Racquet Club brings together two of the resort’s signature pursuits: Sandalwood horses and tennis. Start the day riding along Nihiwatu Beach before heading straight onto the resort’s new international-standard tennis court, then settle into the beachfront clubhouse for a long lunch or cocktails as the sun sets.

Explora Journeys Journeys is redefining wellness at sea, guided by its Ocean State of
Mind philosophy. As September calls for a fresh approach to fitness, In Balance: A Jannik Sinner
Ocean Wellness Programme brings elite sporting discipline, focus and recovery to EXPLORA I
and EXPLORA II, developed with World No. 2 Jannik Sinner and his Performance Team.
Personalised training, guided breathwork, restorative treatments and thermal wellness: the chic
way to move into the new seas

Suvretta House has partnered with THE BEAT, Europe’s leading Pilates studio known for its
flagship St. Moritz and Porto Cervo locations, to bring its signature Slow Resistance Training
Method to the new Suvretta Spa this winter. Guests and Club members can now book private,
duet, or small-group Reformer sessions with internationally renowned trainers.

Lily of the Valley - September is one of the best times to visit Lily of the Valley, with warm days
lingering and the sea fully heated after summer. At The Shape Club, the Sport programme puts
the Riviera setting to proper use - sea wading and Nordic walking alongside tailored fitness
coaching and recovery treatments like cryotherapy - ideal for guests looking to sharpen
performance, reset routines and get back into a healthy rhythm after summer.

The Vineta Hotel - Palm Beach’s restored 1926 Mediterranean Revival landmark,
brings fitness to the guest room in a way only Oetker Hotels could. The fitness trolley arrives at
the guest’s door like a beautifully designed piece of furniture rather than gym equipment. As
thoughtfully designed as the rest of the property, this custom rolling cart is stocked with
everything needed to break a proper sweat, without breaking the aesthetic of the roo

LUCIE WEILL: FEMALE LEADER SPOTLIGHT✨

This month we travel to the Côte d’Azur, just south of St Tropez, to spotlight Lucie Weill, Founder & Owner of Lily of the Valley.

Inspired by childhood summers in nearby La Croix-Valmer, in her early twenties, Lucie set out to build a different kind of wellness retreat - one rooted in science, structure and results rather than fleeting spa trends. At just 25, she broke ground on what would become, one of France’s most forward-thinking wellness destinations by 2019: a pine-fringed sanctuary on Plage de Gigaro, designed by Philippe Starck and anchored by a 2,000sqm Shape Club offering performance-driven fitness, advanced recovery therapies and nutrition programmes developed with leading French nutritionist Jacques Fricker.

As an Owner, Lucie has shaped Lily of the Valley into a destination guests return to for lasting change, whether that’s longevity, sports performance and recovery, weightloss or skin detox. Her approach favours medical insight, active movement and time outdoors over quick fixes, and is built on a simple belief: that great health - done the French way - is its own reward.

In December 2027, Lucie will lead the brand’s first-ever expansion beyond St Tropez with the opening of Lily of the Valley Courchevel 2000, a 30-suite ski-in ski-out hotel located at 2,000 metres on the runway of the legendary Altiport - bringing her distinctive wellness philosophy to the mountains for the first time.

Lucie’s story is a reminder that the boldest wellness ideas are often the simplest ones, built with conviction and carried through.

In a world of algorithms, it’s easy to become stuck in a loophole of the same recommendations - so, we asked the people who actually know these places: our travel insiders, experts and locals on the ground for their current tips of where to go, what to see and the travel highlights that should be on your list for when you’re next visiting these locations.

Swipe through for real recommendations across Asia, Scotland, Cape Town, Chile, Panama and Sweden - places potentially worth building your next trip around...

📍Susanna Rönn, Co-Founder of Sibbjäns (Sweden): “Wander the Botanical Garden in Visby, then make the trip to Gotska Sandön - a remote national park with pale beaches that could be mistaken for the Maldives.”

📍Jules Maury, Head of Scott Dunn | Luxury Travel : “Islas Secas has truly been a standout discovery this year, alongside Panama City. Having sailed the South Pacific, the Barrier Reef, and the Indonesian archipelagos, I can say with real comparison behind me, Islas Secas and Casa Cavada is magical, the restaurant, the beach, the accommodation, all of it.”

📍Chris Kennedy, WildLand (Scottish Highlands): “I may be biased, but I find the Scottish countryside is where I can truly relax and disconnect – which is something I constantly crave. Sutherland in the North of Scotland is my current ‘happy place’ either on a white sandy beach near Lundies House, or hiking to the waterfall on Ben Hope near our Hope Lodge project”

📍Danny, Panda Protector (Upper House Chengdu, Chengdu): “my visit to the Chengdu Panda Base transformed childhood admiration into something personal and I now introduce guests to Dujiangyan Panda Valley for hands-on volunteer experience for a deeper understanding behind their conversation efforts.”

📍Luiza Mattos, Marketing Director at Awasi (Chile): “UNAI is a fine-dining restaurant owned by the former head chef of awasi.atacama. The menu highlights elevated dishes inspired by local ingredients and traditions. One of my favourites is the octopus with avocado and pil pil sauce. Another restaurant to check out is Emporio Andino. Just a few blocks from the local market and church, this casual spot is a local favourite known fo
