A morning of art and conversation.

Ahead of the LAPADA Berkeley Square Fair, we welcomed guests for an intimate talk between artist and Independent Curator and Jumeirah Art Advisor Arnaud Morand. Together they explored Shezad’s practice, from Leviathan, his long-running project on our changing oceans, to the coral sculptures that ask us to look more closely at an ecosystem under threat.

Guests also had the chance to see Hybrid I (2020) up close. The bronze coral is hand-finished in luminescent paint and draws on scientific research into hybrid corals, a quiet reminder of what lies beneath the surface.

For the curious: a morning spent looking closer, asking more and leaving with new questions.
