Over the past several months, The Hideout Collective has continued to grow.

From the Root & Rise Allotment to Bramble, Stan and Jonge Jan, every project creates opportunities for people to learn new skills, build confidence, develop friendships and be part of something positive.

This short video captures just a few moments from across the projects, including Carl, Dumitru, Dave and Sean with support from Mark, getting involved and helping bring these spaces to life.

Every project moves at its own pace, but together they are helping create purpose, routine and opportunities for the future.

Jonge Jan.

One boat. Countless hours of hard work.

Since September 2025, this project has brought people together to learn new skills, build confidence and be part of something positive.

From the first day we took ownership to where she stands today, the transformation has been incredible to watch.

There is still plenty to do, but that’s the beauty of a project like this. It’s not just about the destination, it’s about the journey and the people involved along the way.

We’re proud of how far Jonge Jan has come and excited to see what happens next.

Not every journey starts in the same place.

From getting the team where they need to be, to restoring boats, maintaining projects and helping transform the Root & Rise allotment, every day brings something different.

The Hideout Collective is about practical activity, teamwork, purpose and creating opportunities for people to get involved, learn new skills and be part of something positive.

Meet Carl.

Carl joined us around Christmas.

Since then, he’s been getting involved with projects across The Hideout Collective, from decorating houses and working on boats to spending time at Root & Rise Allotment.

But this isn’t really about painting walls, growing vegetables or restoring boats.

It’s about confidence.

It’s about showing up.

It’s about trying new things, meeting new people and finding a place where you feel you belong.

In this short video, Carl shares a little of his story before we take a look at some of the projects currently taking shape across The Hideout Collective.

Every project moves at its own pace.

Every journey does too.

Everyone has a story.

For Dumitru, the Root & Rise Allotment Project is more than growing vegetables. It is about friendship, purpose and being part of something positive.

Since joining the project, Dumitru has thrown himself into helping wherever he can, planting, growing and supporting others around him. His passion for the allotment shines through in everything he does.

Projects like this are not just about what grows in the soil. They are about building confidence, creating connections and giving people a place where they feel valued and respected.

Thank you, Dumitru, for sharing your story with us. 🌱

Not every journey starts with a grand plan.

Sometimes it starts with turning up, getting stuck in, learning something new and being part of a team.

From restoring boats to developing the Root & Rise allotment, The Hideout Collective is about creating opportunities, building confidence and helping people move forward.

Every project tells a story. Every person does too.
