Important Road Closure Information for Our Guests

Cormac have provided the following information:
A road closure will be in place on Liddicoat Road & Queen Street, Lostwithiel from Tuesday 30th June while resurfacing work is carried out. The closure will be in place from 19:00-04:00 each week night and is expected to take up to three weeks to complete. The scheme will start at Restormel Bridge and progress towards Edgcumbe Road.
During working hours, a Clearway Parking Zone will be in force along the full extent of the site. Any vehicles parked in the signed areas during this time will be towed & charges will apply. Any designated parking bays within the area will be suspended.
We know that noise associated with night-time working can cause disruption to residents and we understand this can be frustrating. Please be assured we aim to complete the noisiest operations as early as possible and will try to minimise any impact should the works overrun due to unforeseen circumstances.
We will have marshals onsite to support residents and businesses needing local access. All through traffic will need to follow the diversions in place. Emergency access will be maintained at all times.

We are currently looking for seasonal Housekeeping, Restaurant Staff, and a Kitchen Porter to join our friendly team, with the possibility of staying on through the winter months for the right person.

🧹 Housekeeping Role
We’re looking for someone who:
• Is hard-working
• Has an eye for fine detail
• Can work under pressure
• Can work independently as well as part of a team
Experience is essential for this role.

🍽️ Restaurant Staff Role
• Seasonal position to start
• Initially breakfast service only
• Opportunity for more hours as we plan to open for evening service soon
• Part-time to begin, with additional hours covering holidays

🍳 Kitchen Porter Role
• Morning shifts, part-time
• Must be flexible with working days
• Breakfast service can be very busy, so the role involves handling a high volume of dishes
• A positive attitude and willingness to work as part of the team is essential

All Roles Require:
• Availability on weekdays and weekends
• Flexibility with working days

🚨 Important Notice: This Week’s Carvery Cancelled 🚨

Unfortunately, due to an unexpected failure with our extraction unit, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel this week’s Carvery. This issue means we are currently unable to use the gas safely, and the safety of our team and customers must always come first.

We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding.

The good news is that we already have an electrician booked in for next week, so everything will be sorted in time for our Mother’s Day Carvery, which will still be going ahead as planned.
