25 minutes drive to Cleethorpes or Grimsby. Standing in 12 acres it is an ideal spot for the
holiday maker who wants to be close to the coast and also enjoy the peace and tranquility of the Lincolnshire countryside. With Grimsby and the Humber Bank nearby Kents Farm Cottages are also ideally suited to business people working in the
area requiring a bit more of a 'home from home' rather than a hotel room.Kents Farm Cottages are situated at Austen Fen,
a small hamlet close to the Louth Navigation Canal, where barges used to offload coal and timber into the large
Warehouse still seen standing on the banks,constructed in the mid 19th Century. A pleasant stroll or short cycle ride would take you
to nearby Grainthorpe where the Black Horse serves evening meals to eat in or take away. Further afield is Marshchapel
which boasts a successful fish and chip shop and The Greyhound pub which serves excellent quisine. For those wanting the fun of the coast we are only 25 minutes drive from the popular Pleasure Island Theme Park
and Cleethorpes with its beaches, entertainment and shops. The vast outstretch of blue skies join on the horizon with the
Humber Estuary where at night the lights of the ships at sea can be clearly seen. The wide open spaces at Kents Farm Cottages where wildlife roam happily including pheasants, barn owls, kestrels, foxes, shrews,
chickens and ducks, geese and swans on the adjacent canal.

I found this helium balloon last night in the cow field. If any livestock had eaten it, they could have died. Please please 🙏do not release balloons into the countryside, as you could be responsible for a death of animals ingest them.

Take note !!!

New signs to deter seagulls from pinching our chips could start appearing across North Yorkshire. 😂

Signs for people won’t help much. The gulls are the real masterminds, and honestly, they might even be able to read.

This comes as North Yorkshire Council is considering a £119,500 plan to help people and gulls get along better by the sea, including Scarborough, Whitby, and Filey.

The plan includes gull-proof bin bags, improved litter bins, more clean-ups during busy times, new signs, and reminders for visitors and businesses not to leave food out like a buffet for the gulls.

The goal is a cleaner coast, fewer food raids, happier visitors, and gulls that remain protected as part of our seaside wildlife.
