Great B&B accommodation on a working farm - pigs, hens, sheep and cows! En-suite rooms, families welcome, evening meals by arrangement. Peaceful location close to Ludlow, Bridgnorth and Ironbridge. Ideal for visiting West Midlands Safari Park and Severn Valley Railway. There are lots of great walks straight from the door. We are a gateway to the dramatic Shropshire Hills, in the foot hills of the Clee Hills.

The 2 little chicks are growing so quickly!
Now 1 week old and Mama hen is still very protective.

Sitting, minding my own business when I catch a movement out of the corner of my eye 🤔

On closer inspection, I discover a shrew!!!
After figuring out how to catch it and then track it down again, I released it back into the wild.

10 minutes later, another movement, another shrew!!!! This one eluded capture for quite a while but has also been returned to the wild 😜

I have no idea where they came from or how they got in but I hope there's no more 🤣

So, more eggs have hatched out - 4 out of 9 and Mama hen has got bored of sitting so no more will hatch 😢
Yesterday there were 2 chicks but 2 of the remaining eggs had pipped so John put them back under the hen as I now think we have 4 chicks!!!
