A FRIENDLY REMINDER TO OUR FOLLOWERS
We feel it’s important to address something that comes up regularly on our page.
Behind every caravan or lodge advertised on this page is a real person, a family and often years of happy memories. These are people trying to sell their holiday homes and they deserve to be treated with the same respect and courtesy as anyone else selling a property.
We completely understand that site fees, running costs and the overall cost of holiday home ownership are important considerations. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and we appreciate that holiday home ownership isn’t for everyone.
However, we would like to make a few things clear:
🔹 Sellers do not set the site fees. These are determined by the holiday park, not the private owner selling their caravan or lodge.
🔹 Nobody is being forced to buy. Every purchase is a personal choice and we encourage everyone to do their research, ask questions and make an informed decision about whether holiday home ownership is right for them. We always provide a balanced view having been owners for over 12 years on a Haven park, a sales associate for Haven and also in our current role helping owners get a fair price for their holiday home.
🔹 You are under no obligation to engage with our page. If holiday home ownership isn’t for you, that’s absolutely fine. There is no expectation for you to follow our page, view our adverts or make a purchase.
🔹 Respectful discussion is welcome. However, unnecessary sheer negativity, personal criticism and comments directed at sellers who have no control over park fees are neither helpful nor fair.
Our page exists to help private owners sell their holiday homes and to connect them with people who are genuinely interested in buying. We work hard to provide a platform for these sales and we believe everyone involved deserves to be treated respectfully.
You don’t have to agree with the costs associated with holiday home ownership and you certainly don’t have to buy one. But please remember that there are real people behind these adverts and a little courtesy goes a long way.
