Of course, there's the beautiful coastline, the independent shops and the promise of a few days by the sea. But it's the people who really make this place what it is.

The familiar faces behind the counters, the conversations over coffee, the local businesses that have become part of the town's character.

Visit once and you'll fall in love with the place. Visit a few more times and you'll start to feel like part of it.

It’s raining in Lyme. Now what? ☔️

First of all: don’t panic. A rainy day on the coast is practically part of the experience.

Pull on a coat, embrace the weather, find somewhere brilliant for lunch, browse the shops, settle into a pub or simply head back to your property, put the kettle on and listen to the rain outside.

One of the best things about knowing Lyme? Knowing the people who make it what it is.

Mike caught up with his good friend Ben at The Ship Inn for a pint and a chat. 🍻

Ben owns The Ship, used to play in The Carnabys and, alongside Mike, still has plenty of music and festival stories to tell.

It’s these people, places and friendships that make Lyme feel like home to us – and mean we can give our guests recommendations that go a little further than a Google search.
