The Rockford Inn - Exmoor, Devon A traditional country pub with rooms, where muddy boots, good beer and good company are always welcome.

The Rockford Inn, a traditional country pub, lies in a small hamlet at the bottom of a wooded gorge. The 17th Century pub overlooks the dramatic East Lyn River as it carves its way through the wild moors down to the sea at Lynmouth, 4 miles away.

WHAT. A. DAY! 🍻🥾

Days like this remind us just how lucky we are to live where we do. To have beautiful places to walk, brilliant local pubs and businesses willing to get involved, and a community of people happy to muck in and help make slightly mad ideas like this actually happen ❤️

Extra special thanks goes to....

🍺 Black Bear Brewery and Otter Brewery for sponsoring our complimentary b**r stops, and to the lovely Tom Davis for coming along for the walk.

🍻 The Hunters Inn Heddon Valley, The Crown Hotel and The Rockhouse Lynmouth for getting involved and welcoming our walkers along the way with some special offers.

🏚️ The Lodge at Myrtleberry for very kindly letting us take over their garden for one of our rest stops. It was the perfect spot for some tired legs, a pint and a breather before carrying on!

🍺 John, Ned and Pauline Harkin for manning our b**r stops and keeping everyone refreshed.

🚗 Tom Floyd for the numerous pick-ups, drop-offs and general running around throughout the day!

🥾 Dave Lee Neary for being our back walker, making sure nobody was left behind and helping keep everyone safe along the route.

❤️ Paul for all of his valuable advice and help in the lead-up to the walk. It was very much appreciated and helped us enormously in pulling the whole thing together.

⛰️ Exmoor Search & Rescue Team for coming along and joining us on the walk. It was brilliant to have so many of you here.

We feel very lucky to live in a place where an event like this is possible.

A little change to our usual Saturday this week 🍻

As we’ll be organising the Lynton & Lynmouth Charity B**r Walk, we’ll be opening at 1pm on Saturday 3rd October.

🍴 No lunch service
🍺 Bar open from 1pm
🍽️ Dinner as normal

We’ll be out and about making sure everything runs smoothly for the walkers!
