The Rockford Inn, a traditional country pub, lies in a small hamlet at the bottom of a wooded gorge. The 17th Century pub overlooks the dramatic East Lyn River as it carves its way through the wild moors down to the sea at Lynmouth, 4 miles away.

✨ End of season update ✨

The Rockford inn will be closed Monday 28th–Wednesday 30th September for an end of season celebration, before we take turns having some well-earned time off over the winter.

A huge thank you to Ross & Ed. You've both been absolute legends this season and have gone above and beyond from day one. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better team, and we're so lucky to have you both ❤️

And thank you to all of you lot for drinking the b**r, eating the food, filling the rooms and generally keeping us far busier than we ever expected.

So, 28th–30th September: doors shut, staff drinking instead of serving.

We reckon we've earned it 🍻

Back open afterwards, hopefully with everyone accounted for.

🥾 LYNTON & LYNMOUTH CHARITY B**R WALK 🍺

We’re very excited to finally announce the Lynton & Lynmouth Charity B**r Walk, raising money for Exmoor Search & Rescue!

📅 Saturday 3rd October
🥾 Choose from an 11 mile or 5.5 mile route
🍺 B**r stops at The Hunters Inn Heddon Valley , The Crown Hotel, Rockhouse Lynmouth and, of course, The Rockford Inn - Exmoor, Devon
🏁 Both routes finish back with us at The Rockford

11 mile route
📍 Starts at The Hunters Inn
⏰ 9.30am

5.5 mile route
📍 Starts at the Valley of Rocks
⏰ 12pm

Entry is £10 per person, plus we’re suggesting a £10 voluntary donation to Exmoor Search & Rescue Team

We’d also LOVE everyone taking part to use the walk as an excuse to raise a few extra quid from friends and family. Every donation, big or small, will help support the brilliant volunteers who provide such a vital service across Exmoor ❤️

Expect a cracking day of walking, some very well-earned b**rs and plenty of good company — all while raising as much as we possibly can for a fantastic local cause.

Fantastic day one at the Rockford Sausage & C***r Festival!

Sunshine, sausages, plenty of c***r and some brilliant live music - what more could you ask for?

A massive thank you to Jack Evans and Shenanigans Goat for keeping us entertained, The The Red Larder and Besshill Farm Shop for keeping everyone well fed, Webber's Travel of Exmoor for helping keep the shuttle running and, of course, the lovely Dave Lee Neary for being put straight to work on his visit! ❤️

And a huge thank you to everyone who came along and made yesterday such a good one.
