Why do we love Lincolnshire so much? ❤️
Honestly, what’s not to love?
🌳 Countryside, city or coast — we’ve got them all. And you can go from one to the other surprisingly easily.
🏰 History everywhere you look. The Bailgate, Lincoln Cathedral and Upper Hill in Lincoln are absolutely beautiful, but there are fascinating little bits of history scattered all over the county.
🚂 And getting out and exploring is easy. We’ve got some wonderful bus and railway routes that make discovering different parts of Lincolnshire part of the adventure.
🥾 The walks. The Viking Way, the Lincolnshire Wolds and all those little footpaths and country lanes where you can just disappear into the countryside for a while.
👨👩👧👦 There’s always something to do with the family. From the coast and countryside to attractions, farms, museums and days out, we’re never short of somewhere to explore.
🍽️ And the food! We absolutely love finding quirky little pubs with loads of character, good food and a story to tell. Add in farm shops, cafés and local produce and you could quite happily spend your weekends eating your way around the county.
🌍 The sheer size of it — Lincolnshire is big enough that there’s always another village, walk, pub, café, attraction or road you haven’t discovered yet.
🌅 The skies. Maybe it sounds silly, but Lincolnshire has some huge skies. Sunrises, sunsets, dramatic clouds… sometimes you just have to stop and look.
⛰️ “But Lincolnshire is flat…”
Nah. Have you been up Steep Hill? Or explored the Lincolnshire Wolds? Yes, we’ve got the Fens, but there’s a lot more to our landscape than people realise.
And then there are the people.
🧍♀️ Friendly, welcoming and with an accent that nobody seems quite able to put their finger on… but you definitely know it’s there.
❓Have you ever been or have a trip in the future booked? If not, why not?
