🏆 Another prize picked up last night!
We’re still coming down from what was an absolutely amazing Carnival weekend. We’re incredibly proud to have picked up the Most Entertaining prize, but for us, the true winner was Aldbourne. ❤️
The atmosphere, the people, the effort that went into everything and the sense of community throughout the whole weekend was something really special.
What a beautiful place we’re lucky enough to call home, and what a fantastic village for people to come and visit.
Well done, Aldbourne… you absolutely smashed it! 👏🎉

Tomorrow, work begins on giving The Blue Boar a fresh new look, while keeping all the character and history that makes this old pub so special.
We’ll try to keep you updated with photos and progress along the way, including a few behind-the-scenes glimpses as the work gets underway! 👀🔨
It’s an exciting time for The Blue Boar, and when we reopen there’ll be lots of new ideas and plenty to look forward to.

As many of you will already know, we close tomorrow for a couple of weeks while The Blue Boar gets a little TLC! 🔨🐗
So rather than let good b**r go to waste, TODAY ONLY we’re dropping our ales to just £4 a pint! 🍺

Aldbourne, you really are something else! Our first Aldbourne Carnival and it certainly didn’t disappoint. The sun was shining, the village was absolutely buzzing and the energy was electric from start to finish.
It’s a day that Debbie and I won’t ever forget. ❤️
A massive thank you to all our wonderful customers, many of whom have now become great friends ,who gave up their time to help build our fantastic float. You put so much time, effort and love into creating something brilliant that made so many people smile. We honestly couldn’t have done it without you.
And finally, a huge thank you to Team Blue Boar, who absolutely smashed it while we were out enjoying the carnival. A special mention has to go to James, who held everything together and allowed Debbie and me to actually switch off, join in and enjoy our first carnival. 🍻
Days like yesterday remind us exactly why we love being part of this village.
Thank you, Aldbourne, you gave us a day to remember! 🌼✌️❤️
