Windmill Retreat is a exciting new development of four 5* holiday lodges in the somerset levels. The setting around 'Windmill Retreat' provides a fantastic selection of walks that are already recommended among experienced walkers, or follow your own curiosity on a walk of your own.. For the bird watchers, your luxury lodge is situated less than 2 miles to 'Greylake RSPB' a thriving nature reserve

known as a home for many wetland birds. Expect to see lapwings, snipe, curlews and redshanks nesting here in summer, as well as yellow wagtails, skylarks and meadow pipits...

And yet there is more.. Photographers will find as much inspiration as they could possibly need when they visit the ruins of 'St. Michaels Church'. Situated at the top of 'Burrow Mump' a full 360 degrees view of the surrounding villages, green lands and wet lands.. Theres never a minute you have to go hungry.. Yesterday, we hosted our very first wedding at Windmill Retreat - and honestly, this has been years on the vision board for our site!

We have slowly been working behind the scenes to create something truly special, refining the details until we felt we were ready to share with you all. Our vision was really quite simple - to create a boutique luxury wedding venue where you have a bespoke experience that can last a whole weekend. Truly enjoying special time relaxing, celebrating and making memories with your closest friends and family.

Whether you’re planning an intimate celebration for 20 guests or a larger gathering, every wedding at Windmill Retreat will be designed around you. Ten years ago, when we introduced the world to this little corner of Somerset with a couple of lodges and whole lot of hope, we could never have imagined it would grow into what it is today!
