Shoot Report
25th October 2026
Well after this week’s weather you know rain, rain and yet more rain today was quite pleasant, blue sky, sunshine and a few white clouds the only down side was the wind which played havoc with the targets. Darren tried his best to set them up so they would fly in a consistent manner but the wind would not play ball, it just kept coming from different directions. So if you managed to score around the 45 to 50 mark you were doing well. There was a good turn out with quite a few old faces turning up I don’t mean old in the age sense I mean we hadn’t seen them for a while. Despite the wind I think everyone had a good time, the clays were there to be shot and if the wind was on your side you hit them Thanks again to Simon.S for taking pictures of you guys in action. Please be aware that Station Road Castlethorpe (road past the Navigation Inn) is shut to all traffic for the next 4 weeks minimum. This will impact the next 2 Lodge Farm shoots. Please past this information on to anyone you know that will be attending LFCC during this period.

Shoot Report
11th October 2026
Once again the weather gods were smiling down on us here at Lodge Farm, sunny with very little wind so no excuses about the wind blowing your clay off course. Darren had made a few changes to the lay outs especially the bottom one, the one over the top of the trees and the rabbit. He’d moved the shooting point/cage to the right so that the sun would not be in your face (isn’t that nice of him) when you shot it, he also moved the rabbit so it was kind of quartering towards you. As usual I didn’t get a chance to check out the shoot for myself but judging by the feedback from shooters after they had finished it was an enjoyable shoot with some interesting targets. As for the scores, don’t forget these are the only cards I saw, well either Darren’s getting soft or your all getting better shots, I believe the latter, the average score seemed to be in the mid to high fifties with a few more in the sixties. Shoot Report
27th September 2026
Not a bad morning, overcast with a slight wind. Darren had set up all the traps/stands but was not quite happy with them because the wind had picked up slightly so he decided to go back out and give them a little tweak. This was fine for the first half hour then the wind got a bit stronger, it wasn’t going to blow you of your feet but it did make a difference to the flight of the clays. So if you want you can use that as an excuse for missing the odd clay or two. It is good to see that the club house is being used more often, I think the main reason being Jamie’s sausage and bacon baps, very tasty. Scores; I only spoke to a few shooters after they had finished and it seems like the average score was around the 50 mark and yes the wind was used as an excuse, not to worry it’s only a bit of fun.
