On Wednesday 17th June, we’re hosting Sabor Latino — a one-night pop-up celebrating the flavours of Latin America. 🍹🌶️

Expect a specially curated menu featuring dishes inspired by Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, Puerto Rico and beyond, alongside cocktails and a relaxed evening atmosphere. 🥩🌽🍮

NEW SUMMER MENUS HAVE ARRIVED ☀️

We’re excited to launch our brand new Summer Lunch & Dinner Menus at the bistro — packed with fresh flavours, Mediterranean infusions, comforting favourites and a few exciting new dishes we think you’ll love.

From crispy saffron arancini and whipped feta flatbreads, to seafood linguine, lamb kofta bowls, hanging kebabs and our new croques & melts, we’ve created menus designed for relaxed summer dining with something for everyone to enjoy.

We’ve also worked hard behind the scenes to keep things fresh, seasonal and locally inspired, while making sure the menus stay balanced, approachable and full of flavour.

A few new favourites include:

✨ Seafood Linguine
✨ Saffron Arancini
✨ Chicken Caesar Salad

Frustrating News:- The Scaffolding is Staying Until Autumn. - (concerning Nationwide)

​To the loyal customers of Church Street, we need to vent a little and fill you in on what’s going on... again... as so many of you have asked for updates - here it is.

​We’ve been locked in discussions about the disruptive scaffolding choking our busniesses and storefronts on Church Street. We’ve just been told by Nationwide that due to project delays, it’s going to be a permanant feature until atleast Autumn.

​We are incredibly annoyed. This has severely impacted our outdoor dining areas, blocked all of our visibility, and made trading incredibly difficult for each and every one of us.

Nationwide Managment have acknowledged the mess-up with their initial communication and the impact on our businesses, and they’ve offered to help fund better signage to make up for it—which is the bare minimum at this point... we do not believe this to be enough.

​It is exhausting for each and every one of us fighting to stay visible behind all these huge metal structures, but we aren't going anywhere just yet.

We are all open for business, the coffee is hot, the shops are full of gifts, clothing, services and we’d love nothing more than for you to ignore the construction chaos and continue to support us all. See you soon! ❤️

An Update on Church Street, Monmouth - Historic Old Town & A Huge Thank You

​We want to start by saying a massive thank you to everyone who has recently reached out and offered to help us in so many different ways regarding our continued distruption on Church Street. We truly, deeply appreciate every single one of you. ❤️

​Times are ridiculously tough at the moment. It feels like everything is constantly stacked against us—if it isn’t one thing, it’s another. But we are determined to do whatever we can to get through this..

​Yesterday’s Meeting: -

​Yesterday, we had a meeting with local traders, residents, Monmouthshire County Council, the Town Council, Senedd members, and Heritage & Development representatives.

• ​The Good News: We finally got answers to some questions we desperately needed addressing.

• ​The Reality: Unfortunately, the main takeaway is that nothing is going to happen quickly. The issues we are facing are going to take a very long time to resolve.

​We are just hoping we can manage to scrape through in the meantime. We genuinely worry that by the time help or solutions arrive, it will be a case of too little, too late—not just for us, but for a lot of other businesses on Church Street too.

​Despite the uncertainty, and on top of all the other added stresses currently being slammed onto the UK hospitality sector, we are determined to try and make the best of yet another bad situation...

​It is a real shame that the government cannot see the severe damage being caused to high streets, pubs and restaurants like ours by their decisions.

Lets be honest, quite frankly, our government do not deserve the independent businesses of this country.

​Thank you all for standing by us. Please keep supporting local, supporting Church Street, and helping us keep the doors open.

We are so deeply saddened to hear that our colleague and friend, Callum, has passed away.. this was not the news every single one of us was praying for..

​Although he hadn't worked with us for long, Callum made a lasting impression on all of us.❤️

He was an absolute pleasure to work alongside—always bringing the kindest energy and a gentle soul to the team, with such endless talent 🌟.

He quickly became much more than a colleague, he became a true friend to us all! You were one of the good ones Callum.

​Please keep Callum's family in your thoughts during this incredibly difficult time. Rest in peace our friend. 🕊️
