It’s Monty Lit Fest weekend and the sun is out! Off to a cracking start yesterday with the beautifully curated and hung Celf Trefaldwyn art exhibition at the Institute and at the Old Bell Gallery. Do visit!

We are delighted that pupils from Montgomery Church in Wales Primary School have contributed to this year’s exhibition and the theme of ‘Nature’.

12 wonderful works will be on show around the town in a variety of windows and we invite you to see if you can find all of them.

Monty Castle closed 1st-12th June

Montgomery Castle, along with its car park and all paths, will be FULLY CLOSED from 1st to 12th June inclusive. This is to allow much needed resurfacing work to take place to the car park and path into the monument. Improvements will also be made to the path leading up from Bunners at its top end; the bank will be stabilised and the path widened to make it safer. The Conservation Works Manager will keep us updated as work progresses.
