There is a reason people travel from across the country to celebrate at Brinkburn.

Not because of a schedule.

Because of the freedom that comes when there is time to enjoy it all.

Time for conversations that last beyond dinner. Time for family to reconnect. Time for guests to feel part of something rather than simply attend it.

The best celebrations are rarely rushed.

Unhurried means unmatched.

A morning yoga practice beneath ancient beams.

Journalling beside the River Coquet.

A nourishing meal shared around a long table.

An evening sound journey as daylight fades.

Every retreat at Brinkburn is different because every facilitator brings their own vision.

The estate simply provides the space for it to unfold.

If you’ve been thinking about hosting a retreat, we’d love to hear your ideas.

The flowers are packed away. The music has finished. The photographs have been shared.

But months later, guests are still talking about Brinkburn.

The riverside walks. The Priory. The cottages. The feeling of spending an entire weekend together rather than rushing through a single day.

The most memorable weddings are often the ones that give people time.

Unhurried means unmatched.

People do not simply exercise here. They regulate, they release and they reconnect. Over time, they begin to recognise and understand what is happening within themselves.

If people were only coming for a comfortable stretch, they would come once and remain unchanged. What we create in this space generates movement, emotional movement, awareness, release and ultimately the ability to read one’s own internal state.

The process takes us out of our comfort zone and into the space where real growth and transformation can happen.

This experience is not simply a comfortable stretch. It is an authentic and powerful development of mind, body and soul.

You are in a class. Breathing. Moving. And suddenly… tears you did not expect.

It is not because something is wrong. It is because something is finally right.

Our bodies hold onto so much, grief, stress and old stories we have carried for years. These experiences live within our tissues, our breath and our central nervous system.

Shamanic Kundalini Yoga uses breath, movement and sound to unlock what has been held. It does not force anything. It simply creates space for release.

Those tears are not weakness. They are the body finally feeling safe enough to let go.

We are not breaking down. We are breaking open.

My sessions are not simply a workout. Nothing is forced. We are creating a safe space for our systems to finally release what they have been carrying for a lifetime.

Part One: The Journey to Teaching.

Before the retreats, workshops and weekly classes, there was a personal journey.

In Part One of our conversation with Monica of .joy.life and Sarah Woodhouse of , we explore how yoga first found them, what inspired them to begin teaching, and how their own practice continues to shape the way they guide others today.

Two different paths. A shared passion for movement, wellbeing and connection.

Watch Part One to learn more about the people behind some of Brinkburn's much-loved wellness experiences.

Food has always played an important role in wellbeing.
Not just what we eat, but how we eat.
Gathering together. Slowing down. Sharing stories around a table.
That’s why we’re excited to see Tom Rookes’ new Supper Club Series taking shape at Brinkburn.

These evenings aren’t simply about dining. They’re about hospitality, atmosphere and creating experiences that bring people together. The upcoming Garden Grill event marks the beginning of a seasonal series that celebrates food, place and connection in equal measure.

The best way to understand Brinkburn is to spend time here.

To walk through the woodland. Stand beside the Priory. Explore the cottages. Follow the path down to the River Coquet.

Every couple imagines the estate differently.

Some picture an intimate gathering beneath the trees. Others see a full weekend celebration stretching across the estate.

That’s why weekend viewings are available by appointment, giving couples the time and space to experience Brinkburn at their own pace.
