Three new w**es have just landed on our shop and there’s unexpected story behind them. 🍾

The 2024 growing season didn’t quite go to plan. Facing a tricky harvest, we had to rethink what we’d make and where more fruit would come from.

Alongside Solaris we grew at our vineyard, our bacon was saved by a lovely chap growing low-intervention Solaris in Herefordshire. On a mizzly day in late September, we handpicked the grapes together.

From this unexpected vintage came three very different w**es. Our:

🍍 Solaris Pet Nat
Fresh, fizzy and full of tropical fruit. Perfect for impromptu bubbles in the sunshine.

🍓 Rosé Col Fondo
Wild strawberry, vibrant acidity and a lovely little bit of fizz. Ideal for whiling away long and lazy sunny afternoons.

🧡 Still Orange
Skin-contact Solaris with a savoury, textured character. Great for pairing with grilled foods and good friends.

They’re w**es shaped by the season and our wild and wonderful borderlands, working with what nature gave us. Swipe to discover more about them and head to our website to give them a try. The full story is on our journal, link in bio 🔗

All three are now available online and a quick shout out that Bubbly Bubbly is also back. You can enjoy free delivery on orders over £80 too 🥂

Cheers to the brilliant matprice for collaborating with us on our Pet Nat and Col Fondo labels! ✌️📷

There’s more socially acceptable ways to spend a Friday than talking to yourself in a field. But in the midst of peak vine time, we’ve kind of forgotten what those are. Here’s a quick update during yet another growing season that keeps us guessing 👀

If you’ve ever wondered what happens between planting a vine and pouring a glass, join us tomorrow for our Open Day. Wander the vines, enjoy authentic Greek food by Greek Mr. Gyro and discover what we’re up to here in the Radnorshire hills.

We’ll be pouring our latest w**es, a trio of new cuvées being released on our website very very soon. Join our newsletter to be the first to hear when 🍾 and most importantly, have a chat with us and help breathe new life into our social skills!

More info on our open days and joining our newsletter both via links in bio 🍇

News flash 🚨 we have big bunches 🍇 Ortega here is slightly larger than a medium sized hedgehog, or 10 times the size of James’ nose. This is the biggest we’ve seen them! The vines are cracking on, having grown about a foot in a week in the last heatwave. There’s still a way to go and you never know what might happen between now and harvest but at the moment things are are looking big 🌿

We’ve dug a big hole! The first step in our vineyard cabin project. We’re building three cabins overlooking the vines so you can enjoy w**e and stay the night. Turns out digging a massive hole for the septic tank is a great chance to have a look at our soil. Peep at the O-Horizon, our silt-loam top soil and a load of shale, otherwise known as ratch in Radnorshire lingo.

Auto captions have also produced a gem of typo. Silky loneliness instead of silty loaminess is a definite future w**e name contender. 🪨

Choppy choppy time! We’ve started pruning, our classic January task. We’re 1000 down, 5000 more to go. The young ones are simple enough to snip but the older ones take a bit of thinking. Going to have to hold off on it tomorrow though as looks like a mega tump of snow is coming our way tonight. Swipe for a peep, 30-40cm might be coming our way! Cheers MetRyan for the maps and updates, we do recommend you check out his meteorological insights on X 🌨️🏂
