We’re having a little breather… 🌿

It’s been an incredibly busy summer season here at White Birch, filled with wonderful guest stays, beautiful events and catering for so many special occasions. We’ve loved every second of it and are incredibly grateful to everyone who has chosen to stay with us, celebrate with us and enjoy our food. Thank you!

For now, we’re making the most of a little quieter time to catch up on maintenance, work on some exciting new projects and, of course, give the garden some much-needed love. 🌱

It’s also giving us the chance to meet with couples and chat through their wedding plans - something we always enjoy so much. Today’s conversation with a lovely couple about their special day left us feeling just as excited as they are!

A little time to pause, refresh and prepare for all the wonderful things still to come… and we can’t wait! ✨

Today we’re celebrating all the wonderful four-legged friends who have stayed with us!

From muddy paws and countryside adventures to cosy cuddles by the fire, we love that they come and make themselves very much at home! 🌿🐕

🍎 From our orchard to your plate 🍑

We’ve been busy over the past few weeks, gathering this year’s harvest and making the most of the fruit growing right here in our orchard.

Our cooking apples are now safely stored, ready to become delicious autumn pies, crumbles and other seasonal favourites 🍏

The plums have been lovingly turned into chutney, while our sweet, juicy greengages are now jars of delicious jam 🍑💚

It’s been an early harvest this year, and despite the lack of rain, it’s been wonderful to see the wonderfully juicy fruit on our trees.

We hope you enjoy this little taste of our harvest in your menus this season! 🌿🍎

There’s no denying we’ve made the most of these spectacular summer evenings! ☀️🍽️

Over the past few months, we’ve had the pleasure of catering outdoors for so many wonderful guests and events, making the most of the sunshine and enjoying some truly memorable al fresco dining experiences.

🍂 We know… it’s only August! A little early to be talking about autumn, perhaps - but they’re calling it a “false autumn” and, looking around our grounds, there are already a few leaves beginning to fall 🍁

Whatever is going on, isn’t nature clever — and above all, beautiful? There’s something rather magical about those first hints of changing seasons, even in the height of summer.

Here at White Birch Manor, the expansive grounds are looking as beautiful as ever, (if a little brown!) - a peaceful, timeless setting to escape to, whatever the season 🌿🏡🍂

There’s something rather special about afternoon tea 🫖🍰🌺

Perhaps it’s the delicate sandwiches, the freshly baked scones, the little cakes and sweet treats… or simply the excuse to slow down and enjoy a little moment of indulgence 🥰

And when it’s served on beautiful vintage crockery, with pretty teacups, floral china and all those charming little details, it feels even more wonderful 🌸✨

Whether enjoyed in the sunshine of summer or cosied up indoors on a chilly winter afternoon, afternoon tea is one of those timeless treats that never seems to go out of fashion.
