The Bargeman's Rest Traditional family-run pub, perched right on the River Medina in Newport, Isle of Wight. https://bargemansrest.com/ We are operating table service only.

Renowned for great views across the quay, a wide selection of local ales and an extensive food offering. Traditional pub situated alongside the old quay at Little London, Newport. Opening hours:

From Monday 17th May the pub will be open fully (inside and outside seating). For the time being, until legislation changes, we will still have a few restrictions in place;

We will only be accepting tables of a maximum of 6 people. Face coverings must be worn on the premises at all times unless seated. We will be taking for bookings for inside only seating, please call 01983 525828
Sunday - Thursday 10.30am - 10.00pm (kitchen closing at 8.30pm)
Friday & Saturday 10.30am - 10.30pm (kitchen closing at 9.00pm)

🎉 Got your New Year’s Eve plans sorted? If not, how about a foot-stomping knees-up at The Bargeman’s Rest?

The Brian Reeves Memorial Barn Dance is back after last year’s fantastic celebrations, and we can’t wait to do it all again! Join us to see in 2027 with a three-course dinner, live music from Rufus Returns and plenty of dancing. Even better, a percentage of ticket sales will go to Wessex Cancer Support ❤️

🎟️ Tickets are £35 per person, including dinner (have you seen the menu 🤤), and must be paid when booking. Doors open at 6:30pm.

A few things to note: the pub will be open exclusively to ticket holders for the evening, there’s no separate children’s ticket price, and we’re unable to accommodate under-9s or dogs. Vegan meals must be pre-ordered when booking.
