What a proud moment for the Watergate Bay Hotel team. We've won Silver at the 2026 VisitEngland Awards for Excellence - Best Large Hotel.

It's recognition of all the people who look after this special stretch of coastline, and everyone who spends time here. At Watergate Bay, the sea and the sand shape who we are, and this award is a great reminder of what can happen when people come together around a shared sense of place.

Congratulations to Bovey Castle Hotel l in our neighbouring Devon who won Gold, and The Grand, Brighton who took Bronze.
