Lucozade and a Double Decker on the table and a bit of music playing on the TV, that can only mean one thing, changeover day. Our lovely guests have left today but they’ve rung this morning to say what a great time they’ve had. They come for three weeks this time each year and always seem to bring good weather down from Yorkshire with them.
The first crop of goslings have hatched and are wandering around the lake, there are just three of them and they’re very cute…. Update, I’ve just seen another three ❤️

It was Billy’s birthday on Friday so we had breakfast at Seaspray on Fistral beach. The view is always amazing, but it looked lovely with the poppies at the top of the steps. The food was great, as it always is and the staff sang happy birthday to the old man 🎂

Did you know that there's a footpath opposite the beach at Holywell Bay that leads through the Ellenglaze valley to the pub? It's a lovely walk that takes around 20~30 minutes or so, obviously it's obligatory to have a drink or two when you reach the end! 😉😍🍹

*N.B ~ The footpath is around 1.7m, it's uneven and there are several kissing gates and a style to navigate so sadly not suitable for wheelchairs, it also leads through working fields that sometimes hold livestock so please respect the countryside and keep to the path with dogs on leads at all times 🙏

I got a message yesterday teatime to say there may be whales passing Porth Island, we jumped in the car and raced over there. There were no whales unfortunately but we had a lovely half hour wave watching, and look at this video from the bridge over to the island ❤️
