HOUSEKEEPER WANTED – START ASAP

We have an immediate vacancy and are looking for a reliable and hardworking Housekeeper to join our team at Porth Veor Manor. As well as the hotel we own/manage a number of self catering properties in Porth, Watergate Bay and Mawgan Porth.

** Location: Primarily based at Porth.
** Hours: Usually 10am to 3pm (must be available weekends)
** Accommodation: Possible option of live-in staff accommodation available in Porth
** Up to £13 per hour (age dependent)
** Part-time hours welcome

This is a hands-on role within a busy holiday letting business, with arrivals and departures taking place every day of the week.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation across our properties.

We’re looking for someone dependable, detail-focused and able to work efficiently as part of a team. A driving licence would be an advantage.

🌒 Look to the skies over Cornwall this evening! ☀️

We’re in for a rather special sight tonight, as a partial solar eclipse will be visible from Cornwall – weather permitting! ✨

Here in Cornwall, the eclipse is expected to begin at around 6.18pm, with the maximum eclipse occurring between approximately 7.05pm and 7.16pm, depending on your location.

The spectacle will then gradually come to an end, with the eclipse finishing for UK viewers by around 8.10pm.

If the Cornish skies are kind to us, it could make for a memorable summer evening! 🌅🌒

⚠️ Remember: never look directly at the Sun. You’ll need certified eclipse glasses or another safe solar-viewing method to watch the eclipse safely.
