Funeral notice for the late Oliver O’Hare - R.I.P.

O’Hare, Oliver - R.I.P. Formerly of 45 Parkview, Newtowncloughoge, Newry. 10th September 2026, peacefully at Our Mother of Mercy Home, Newry with his family around him. Beloved son of the late Cornelius and Eileen, dear brother of Patsy, Cornelius, Marie and the late Danny, Sean and Brendan.

Oliver’s remains will repose in the chapel in Our Mother of Mercy Home, 1 Home Avenue, Newry BT34 2DL on Friday (11th September) from 2-4pm and from 6-8pm. Removal on Saturday morning (12th September) at 9.30am, arriving for Requiem Mass at 10am in The Church of the Sacred Heart, Cloughoge, Newry. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Our Lady Queen of the Most Holy Rosary pray for him.

Very deeply regretted by his loving brothers, sister, nephews, nieces and the extended family circle.

First Anniversary Notice for the late Pat McCabe - R.I.P.

In loving memory of a much loved husband, daddy, grandpa and brother Pat whose first anniversary occurs 19th September 2026.

‘Loved with a love beyond all telling,
missed with a grief beyond all tears,
to the world, he was just one
to us, he was all the world.’

So sadly missed by your wife Siobhan, children Kieran (Sabrina), Catrina and Megan (Brendan), grandchildren Jayden, Mallaidh, Rory Kate and Aoife Rose, brothers Bernie, Peter, Michael, Desy, Thomas (Tucker), Brendan (Chinky) and Malachy (Joe), sisters Eileen and Jeanietta and all the family circle.

Pat’s First Anniversary Mass will be celebrated at 10am on Sunday 20th September in St. Joseph’s church, Meigh.

Acknowledgement from the family of the late Annie McKevitt - R.I.P.

Annie's family - Sarah, Brian, Pauline, Teresa, Geraldine, Charlie, Catherine, Bridget, Bernadette and Michael, along with her extended family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to all those who supported them in the recent bereavement of their much-loved Mother, Annie.

Thanks to all who sent mass cards, messages and floral tributes.
Dr Flood and all the staff in cornmarket surgery for their kindness and support throughout Annie's life and especially in Annie’s end-care, NHS Care Team who visited and attended Annie daily, NHS nurses and district nurses who attended Annie, Acute care team for their tender care and compassion to Annie throughout her care. Our thanks to the staff of Daisy Hill Hospital for their attentive care to Annie over the past years.

A sincere debt of thanks to Rev Fr Naughton for his frequent pastoral visits to the house and to Father Patrick (Dominican) for their care and comforting prayers in Annie's final weeks. Rev Fr Naughton for the beautiful celebration of Annie's funeral Mass and a special thank you to Rev Fr McKevitt, Annie’s nephew, who concelebrated the funeral mass. Thanks to all who took part in the liturgy, especially Mary McCabe for the beautiful hymns sung at Annie's Mass.

A special mention to Alison from A Malcolm Hair, Banbridge for her dignified work which she had shown to Annie throughout her last years.

Also to Annie's sons-in-laws, grandchildren, great grand-children, nieces and close family friends who supported her during her repose, we are eternally grateful.

To the Diamonds (Warrenpoint), Strandfield (Ballymacscanlon), Hughes (Camlough) and
Quails (Banbridge) for their generous food supplies.
To the Carrickdale Hotel and their fantastic staff for providing food during the wake and for the funeral meal.

We, the family of the late Damien Campbell would like to thank all those who sympathised with us on the recent loss of our beloved husband, daddy and granda.

We are deeply grateful to our family, friends and neighbours for their help and support during this very difficult time.

We sat beside your beside,

Green (née Kindlon), Carmel – R.I.P. 107 O’Neill Avenue, Newry. 30th August 2026, peacefully at home. Beloved wife of the late Artie, loving mother of Jimmy, Christina, Joanne, David and Claire, devoted nanny of Caitlin, Regina, Chloe and Lily, Orlaith, Cathal and Conor, Sean, Katie, Daithi, Rourke and Cillian and great-nanny of Rian and Riagain.

Carmel’s remains will repose at her late residence from 2pm today (Monday 31st August) until removal on Wednesday morning (2nd September) at 10.30am, arriving for Requiem Mass at 11am in St. Mary’s church, Newry. Burial afterwards in Monkshill cemetery.

Funeral notice for the late Oliver Mc Donald – R.I.P.

Mc Donald, Oliver – R.I.P. 42 Dromliskin Court, Newry and formerly of Forkhill Road, Cloughoge, Killeavy. 25th August 2026, peacefully at Daisy Hill Hospital. Beloved husband of Helena, devoted father of Sinéad, Caoimhe, Diarmaid and Orla, very much loved grandad of Fergus, Margot, Mealla, Ùisdean and Lyra, father-in-law of Jon, Hannah and Dan and dear brother of Mary, Kathleen and the late Peter.

Oliver’s remains will repose in McGennity’s Funeral Home, 18 Forkhill Road, Cloughoge, Newry BT35 8LZ this evening (Wednesday 26th August) from 7.30 pm until 9pm and tomorrow (Thursday 27th August) from 2-4pm and from 6-9pm. The funeral home is private on Friday morning to family only please. Oliver’s remains will leave the funeral home on Friday (28th August) at 1.15pm, travelling via St. Moninna Killeavy GAC for one last call at approximately 1.30pm and on to St. Joseph’s church Meigh, arriving for Requiem Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Oliver will be very sadly missed by his family, friends and the community he loved so much.

St. Moninna pray for him. May he rest in peace.
